Dr Dan Marchetti is finally on the verge of achieving the pinnacle of his career ambitions, not to mention a possible breakthrough in his beleaguered personal life, when he is presented with a terrible dilemma and the lethal threat of the mafia. Can he risk everything he has worked for and dreamed of just for his principles?
Marchetti, a highly regarded physician leader who has managed in the past to overcome significant obstacles in his life, such as when he was falsely accused of murdering his patients (in Marchetti’s Inferno by the same author), is promoted to CEO at his hospital. However, he is immediately confronted with organized crime’s desire to add the highly lucrative healthcare field to their sizeable list of illegal business enterprises.
Early on, the reader is introduced to an engaging female lawyer, Lauren Mason, with who Marchetti works diligently to diagnose a serious malady. He also suspects that she may be the product of an artificial insemination procedure he was coerced to participate in as a medical student. When he secretly tests Lauren’s DNA and discovers no match, he finds himself nevertheless overly protective of her, only to later discover a match with her twin brother, Scott, the result of a rare chimeric anomaly of the DNA, thus proving his paternity.
Scott Mason, her twin brother, and ex-SEAL Team Six member, having successfully overcome drug addiction brought about by numerous mental and physical injuries from his time in the special forces, moves to protect Marchetti.
Dramatically eliminating all the major Russian mafia hierarchy one by one, only the sadistic Sasha Makedonsky remains. A dramatic confrontation in Haiti ensues, as Dan and Lauren had escaped there to find solace in delivering emergency care to the Haitians following yet another major earthquake.
In the Company of Lions

Dr Max Landon, the esteemed chair of medicine at a prestigious academic facility, embarks upon a controversial campaign
against the Medical-Industrial Complex, an organization secretly bankrolled by hostile countries and committed to manipulating the healthcare industry to produce obscene profits.
Max finds himself working alongside a veteran Mossad agent, Yehudah Ben Zion. Both have grandfathers who miraculously survived the crematoria at Auschwitz.
Max and Yehudah are brought together by circumstance. Fulfilling a promise many decades in the making, Yehudah will be one
of the only people Max can trust as he fights to reveal the MIC threat, even as his own government tries to hunt him down amidst
a false flag operation. Like their grandfathers before them, the two men live by the teachings of the Talmud: “If you save one life…you save the world.”
Marchetti's Inferno
Publisher: Austin Macauley
Imagine the thrill of witnessing your 11-year-old meningitis patient suddenly regain consciousness after coming close to losing his life.
Or the satisfaction of diagnosing a rare cardiac complication in a middle-aged man whose only symptom was persistent hiccupping.
Introducing Dr. Dan Marchetti, a brilliant and promising first-year intern with remarkable clinical instincts, a rising star, if you will. However,
Dan finds his confidence beginning to shatter after his patients periodically succumb to their illnesses due to a series of medical 'mishaps' that cast doubt on the care he provided. The besieged intern is subsequently charged with the homicides of some of his own patients, deaths
clearly perpetrated by a hospital insider with a keen knowledge of how to manipulate medical devices in order to expedite a patient's demise.
The list of victims includes Trey Hartmann, a rookie star pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Marchetti must find a way to keep his love for the profession intact while confronting this invisible character.
In a Grain of Sand
Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform
Dante Marchetti, MD, entered medicine for all the right reasons, so when he is suddenly on trial for killing off patients, including the Pirate's rookie pitching phenom, he is thrown into a world that leaves his intern year in chaos. No longer is he the rising star of his class known equally for his diagnostic skills and humane care. He is the headline-blaring Intern Killer who murders at will and for personal gain.
Turning in his white coat and hospital badge seemed like the worst day of his life until he found himself in a grey box, wearing prison scrubs and being offered a plea bargain that would end his medical career before it started.
The Wealth from Health Playbook
Publisher: Universal Publisher
Two working physicians with a team of multigenerational, multidisciplinary and rising thought leaders created a system, Wealth from Health, to take an honest, unfiltered look at American healthcare. Rather than beginning from an institutional perspective, the team started from the premise of patients and families best understanding their needs and wants and then designing systems that champion access and health. Step-by-step instructions allow anyone with a vision to create true value: Cost-effectiveness merged with high-quality care. Far from theoretical about what might work or capturing the low-hanging fruit of better workflows, this book is an eminently practical guide with reproducible examples and stories from the authors’ decades on the front line of American medicine.
When Covid-19 first hit our shores, there was no panic. After all, American healthcare had a few problems, but it was still the greatest in the world. As the panic set in, it became obvious to all that our system was broken and could not meet the needs of all communities and people. America must benefit from the lessons learned from this crisis. Professionals working to the top of their license, the worth of telemedicine, decreasing emphasis on revenue-driving surgeries while helping hospital systems with the bottom line remain basic. The Wealth from Health team shows you how to convince decision-makers to take further beneficial steps. In addition to economic worth, this better way also engages community advocates, higher education, school systems, and the business community. All are win-win and sustainable.
